Made from a tough and light weight mesh that is UV resistant, this bag won’t let you down. If you have ever been trashed on a wave or in the surf – you’ll know that anything loose on your deck will now be floating!
The bag is securely held to your side lines via 4 ladder lock buckle straps and with a Velcro style closure, it is a great way to protect your spare paddle from the sun and elements. And if you like a nice shiny deck, then the bag also protects your boat from scratches.

I bought this bag so I was able to easily stow a paddle at sea, not just retrieve one. Room to hold either flat or wing blade, easy on and off yet secure attachment to decklines, survived a thrashing. Easy to swap between boats if you have more than one. I’ll also be using it for paddle transport to protect my carbon-fibre investment. My only suggested improvement is an attachment point at the narrow end, but I see from Nigel’s review that this is now included- stops the bag sliding too close to the cockpit so you can’t get the paddle out.

A great product! I like to alternate between a Greenland paddle and a wing paddle, and this bag provides safe secure storage for the other one, while enabling easy access for changeover. It is light, tough, drains easily and is well made. The side webbing tabs secure to the kayak’s life lines, and the D-ring on the base (a new feature!) enables the bottom of the bag to be secured to the rear end of your boat. (Securing the base of the bag prevents rear half of the bag from “concertina-ing” and potentially snagging the paddle joiner clip when abandoning your customary level of finesse and trying to pull out the spare paddle in a hurry!)

This deck paddle bag has worked well for me on my sea kayak. It protects both my spare paddle and the kayak surface from scratching and keeps the paddle secure from being washed off the deck in breaking waves. It’s extremely well made and a durable product. Very happy with how it works for me.

I bought this as a paddle bag for a second paddle on longer paddle trips with my sea kayak. Now I use it as my daily paddle bag for ocean ski and K1. Made solid and reliable, quality attachments that I’m not worried about getting pulled off in surf. 18 mths use and still like new. I like it now as a daily paddle bag as I can wash my paddle and throw it inside washed and wet and know it will dry just fine without rotting out my bag. Its light but strong. I was a bit worried about the mesh falling apart (like the the edges on my cloth bags) but no troubles – its really strong stuff. Salt, mud etc no probs. Hose it off. Done. Great design for me. All my Outware gear is all quality and certainly worth every cent.
